What is Türk Telekom WiFi Fly?
Türk Telekom WiFi Fly is being able to experience the freedom of internet on an airplane.
It is internet access with laptops, tablets or smartphones which have WiFi feature
on airplanes equipped with internet infrastructure through cooperation between Türk Telekom
and Turkish Airlines. Connectivity service is available on all of Turkish Airlines wide body fleet along with A321 NEO and B737 MAX aircraft.

How can I tell which aircraft are already active for Planet?
You will see the seat-back cards in the passenger cabin of the specially fitted
aircraft:
At what altitude is the service available during the flight?
The service will be activated only on international flights and at a height of 10,000
feet (approx. 3,000 meters)

When are you allowed to surf the Internet on the aircraft?
Generally only when the fasten seatbelt sign is not illuminated.
The instructions given by on-board staff have priority.
The service is automatically deactivated during take-off and landing.
Under what SSID is the WLAN network provided?
The SSID is called "Türk Telekom WiFi Fly". It is publicly broadcast.

Will the service only be offered in certain areas of the passenger cabin?
No, the service is available throughout the passenger cabin.
Is the session terminated if the user moves around the aircraft with his smartphone?
No, the connection will be maintained even then, which means that streaming also
remains uninterrupted.

What speeds can be reached on the aircraft?
Minimum download speed per passenger has been determined as 250 Kbps. There is no upper limit on the download speed however it is related to online users at the given time and to the capacity of the satellite in use.

Is the login at the HotSpot secure?
Türk Telekom WiFi Fly serves according to the technology standards and related laws and
regulations. Customers login to internet through a secured site, so username and
passwords are protected. Can be surfed at the sites that are served through SSL
service. Customers are recommended to use anti-virus and personal firewall softwares.
More security needed customers are recommended to use VPN clients.

Is it safe to operate a HotSpot on an aircraft?
Yes. It is quite safe to operate a HotSpot on an aircraft. Since passenger safety
is of the utmost importance, before a HotSpot is put into operation on an aircraft,
all relevant aspects are fully tested and the safety certified by the European Aviation
Safety Agency (EASA).

Passengers can purchase a voucher via credit card onboard. The packages and rates

Where are the credit card vouchers I buy on the aircraft valid?
If you buy a voucher on the aircraft you can continue using it on a connecting flight,
provided the aircraft is a Turkish Airlines aircraft and has been specially fitted
with this service.
Please note that only credit card vouchers which have been purchased on the aircraft
can be used on the aircraft.

On which airplanes is the internet service active?
Connectivity service is available on all of the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787, Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus 330-300, Airbus 350 ve Airbus 321 NEO aircraft in Turkish Airlines fleet. This service is available on 131 aircraft by 2020 and it is planned to be activated on 301 aircraft by the end of 2024.

Is there internet available on all Domestic/International Turkish Airline flights?
The Türk Telekom WiFi Fly service will only be active on international flights.
Will internet be available throughout the whole flight? Will there be any interruptions?
The internet infrastructure is achieved using access satellites. There may be some
short interruptions in service due to faults that may be experienced during access
to these satellites.

Is use valid in all air spaces? Will the internet use vary according to the air
space we are in? Will there be countries that do not allow internet use?
The availability of internet service on an aircraft is subject to the permission
of the country in which the airspace is being used. In the event that the aircraft
is over a country that does not allow internet access, the services may be temporarily
interrupted. Connectivity service is available on worldwide and has not any country based restriction.
If the aircraft you are traveling in is approaching an airspace in which Internet
use is not permitted the time remaining until the Internet service interruption
will be announced to you on your screen.

What are the conditions necessary for this service to be provided? How come it can
only be available on certain aircraft?
Internet services can only be provided on aircraft that have the necessary wireless
internet infrastructure.

Are there plans to have internet service on domestic flights as well?
The determining factor here is that the aircraft must reach a certain height which
is 10 thousand feet – 3 thousand meters, in order for the system to be technically
active. Therefore internet services are not being planned at the moment for domestic
flights.
What features will be provided to passengers in the scope of this service? (Example
charging, etc.)
Both economy and business class passengers travel with B777-300ER and A330-300 aircraft, can use electric outlet. For B787, B737 MAX, A350 ve A321 NEO aircraft, business class passengers will be able to use electric outlets while economy class passengers may use USB power outlet located on their seatback IFE screens.

Are there special privileges for Business Class passengers?
On all international flights where services are provided at the request of Turkish
Airlines, Business Class passengers may use the internet services free of charge.

How can I connect to the Türk Telekom WiFi Fly internet?
After making sure that you are on a flight that offers wireless internet do the
following in the given order;
- Turn-on your device’s Wi-Fi when it’s on flight mode.
- Select and connect to the Türk Telekom WiFi Fly wireless network from your personal laptop,
tablet or smartphone.
- Open a page on your internet browser (like Explorer, Chrome, Firefox)
- Click “Internet” button
- Click on the package you wish to purchase on the page you have been automatically
directed to
- Complete the passenger information, user information and payment information
- When you have successfully completed your payment transaction you may begin using
the internet.

How do Business Class passengers connect to the internet using TTNET WiFi Fly?
After making sure that you are on a flight that offers wireless internet do the
following in the given order;
- Turn-on your device’s Wi-Fi when it’s on flight mode
- Select and connect to the Türk Telekom WiFi Fly wireless network from your personal laptop,
tablet or smart phone.
- Open a page on your internet browser (like Explorer, Chrome, Firefox)
- Click “Internet” button
- Click on the Business Class Entry button on the page you have been automatically
directed to
- When you have successfully entered your passenger information you may begin using
the internet.

I am a Türk Telekom Subscriber can I use my free Türk Telekom WiFi minutes on the airplane?
The free Türk Telekom WiFi minutes awarded to Türk Telekom internet subscribers cannot be used
on the Türk Telekom WiFi Fly service provided on the airplane.
I am a Türk Telekom subscriber can I charge the package I have purchased to my Türk Telekom bill?
This service can currently only be purchased by credit card in the airplane.

I have a daily Türk Telekom WiFi package can I use this package to connect to the internet
on the plane?
Türk Telekom WiFi packages cannot be used on the plane.
I have completed my payment transaction but I cannot connect to the internet. What
should I do?

Some internet pages cannot be opened why?
Türk Telekom WiFi Fly service is provided with the Family Profile which is a security package
approved by the Information Technologies Institution. You may not access pages that
are not within the Family Profile.

Can I purchase more than one package at the same time?
You can only buy one Türk Telekom WiFi Fly package with the same user account at a given
time.
I created a user account on my previous flight. Can I use it during my following
flights?
Yes, if you’ve already created a Türk Telekom WiFi Fly user account, you may use it while
following logins. You can login only buy adding new package to your account.
